CONGO BASIN: Climate change threatens biodiversity

In the forests of the Congo Basin, rising temperatures and erratic rainfall are adversely affecting wildlife resources. The availability of edible mushrooms and caterpillars has fallen by about 80%. This is according to a study published on 5 January 2021 by the Centre for International Forestry Research (CIFOR).

A l’occasion d’une cérémonie organisée ce jeudi 12 novembre 2020 à l’Hôtel du Fleuve, le Ministre des Affaires Foncières a signé un protocole d’accord avec Groupe Turque Harmiad dans le cadre du Plan de relance du projet de numérisation du Cadastre et de sécurisation des titres fonciers et immobiliers.
 
Dans son discours le Ministre a déclaré :

The Dutch LAND-at-scale program was launched in March last year and since then, two rounds for land intervention ideas have been released. The program seeks ideas that contribute to improving land governance in developing countries, and that ultimately support better food and nutrition security, economic development, peace and stability in these countries.

Le conflit foncier opposant les groupements Bosele et Bolonga, dans le territoire de Kiri (Mai-Ndombe) a pris fin, a indiqué le gouverneur intérimaire de cette province, Jacks Mbombaka. Selon lui, la communauté de Bolonga aurait vendu son terrain que la communauté de Bosele exploitait depuis des années.
