The activity comprises the delivery of a locally tailored low-cost, easily applied technology for storing, processing, analysing and visualising natural hazard and risk information, which can be used for model disaster scenarios for decision making purposes, such as land use planning.
Objectives and measures of the project include the efforts to increase resilience to climate change and improve livelihoods of the people of the Pacific Islands through targeted strengthening of capacity in adaptive co-management and restoration of mangroves and associated ecosystems in each of the selected countries.
