Alexandra Narváez, de la comunidad cofán de Sinangoe, es parte de la guardia indígena constituida en 2017 en respuesta a la concesión inconsulta de territorio cofán para actividades mineras.

Actualmente, en la zona donde se ubica Sinangoe, existen más de 50 concesiones mineras con permisos de explotación vigentes hasta por 30 años.

Ayer, al promediar las nueve de la noche, y luego de más de ocho años de un proceso lleno de cuestionamientos, el Poder Judicial dictó sentencia absolutoria a favor de diez y defensores del territorio y derechos humanos de la provincia cusqueña de Chumbivilcas, que fueron denunciados por la minera Anabi S.A.C. en el 2011.
