Asunción, 1 de julio de 2019 (BASE-IS) Mario Abdo Benítez anunció la construcción de un nuevo puente que unirá a las ciudades de Carmelo Peralta, Chaco paraguayo, con Puerto Murtinho, Brasil; ese puente será el inicio del denominado Corredor Bioceánico que unirá los puertos brasileros ubicados sobre el Océano Atlántico con los puertos de Chile ubicados en el Pacífico.
