Bharti Institute of Public Policy | Land Portal

One of the four institutes at ISB’s Mohali campus, the Bharti Institute of Public Policy is an independent think tank with its main objectives as follows: to promote high quality research to guide policy formulation and implementation in India; to train students – both through degree and short-term programs – to better appreciate, formulate and implement policies; as well as to engage with and inform policy formulation and implementation, particularly in developing country settings.

The Bharti Institute of Public Policy is proud to have the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, USA, as its partner school. The institute is generously funded by the Bharti Foundation.

India’s ambitious development agenda involves facilitating investment for economic growth, infrastructure development, and social progress. Yet, thousands of investment projects have been stalled to date, raising red flags for the health of the country’s financial regulatory systems, public sector banks, and investment community. While official reasons given for stalled projects remain opaque, deep contestation leading to conflict on public (and private) lands must be better understood as a substantive risk to investments.
