This report answers the questions expressed in a motion Polderman. This motion asks about the consequences of abolishing the existing pig and poultry rights (animal production rights). In this study, we first address the creation of these production rights in the framework of the mineral policy (or manure policy) and the significance of these rights. Then insight is provided about the expected development of the extent of pig and poultry farming, bases on the situation whereby animal production rights and the milk quota end in 2015. The environmental impact is also calculated. The questions posed by Mr. Polderman are answered on the basis of these analyses.
