The Partner Initiative for Conflict Transformation (PICOT) is a registered national non-government organization established in 2006. PICOT operates in the southern region of the country, with its head office located in Bo. The organization’s vision is to contribute to having developed and peaceful communities where people lead in processes that ensures human security for all. PICOT works at all levels (community, district and national). At the national level, PICOT has been working through coalitions and in collaboration with other CSOs such as Network Movement for Justice and Development (NMJD), the Methodist Church Sierra Leone (MCSL), Campaign for Good Governance (CGG), Search for Common Ground (SFCG), Movement for the Restoration of Democracy (MRD), Center for Democracy and Human Rights (CDHR), Association for the Well-being of Rural Communities and Development (ABC) and Action for Large Scale Land Acquisition Transparency (ALLAT). PICOT’s work is characterized by conflict transformation and right-based approaches to influence attitudes and behaviours.
