Grace Afante

Grace Ananda has over 10 years’ work experience on gender and women rights. She is a technical expert in policy dialogue, research, advocacy, and campaigns. She has implemented multi international projects on women’s land rights, women’s leadership, and education while at Action Aid International, Catholic Relief Services and Ace- Africa, respectively. She has previously worked closely and engaged with Africa women’s rights movements in the Kenya and at Pan Africa level on the Kilimanjaro Initiative Campaign. Currently she is the Women land rights Officer at Oxfam International Pan Africa program. Her role is to lead with the implementation of Oxfam International Pan Africa program on women’s land rights project, in charge of the project’s continental policy and advocacy engagements around the African Union (Land Policy Initiative, GIMAC), Regional Economic Communities (EALA, IGAD, ECOWAS, SADC, COMESA, Pan Africa Parliament), ministerial missions, Capacity building to CSOs and Partners on Legal Frameworks on Land and natural resources in selected countries. She is self-motivated, results-oriented, and innovative person.
