A Housing, Land and Property (HLP) legal and policy specialist with over 15 years of international experience, Ibere Lopes is the current HLP Advisor to the Global Shelter Cluster. Working with IOM - UN Migration Department of Operations and Emergencies, Ibere's work is focused on land tenure issues in post-conflict and post-disaster settings. He has led large-scale land tenure projects in Sri Lanka, Nepal, Timor-Leste, and Haiti, and carried out post conflict/disaster emergency deployments in Ethiopia, DRC, South Sudan, Nigeria, Indonesia, and Vanuatu.
