The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) is a multi-stakeholder platform with a global secretariat led by CIFOR and core funding provided by the Government of Germany. The GLF accelerates action towards the creation of productive, prosperous, equitable and climate-resilient landscapes and the achievement of the UNFCCC Paris Agreement and Sustainable Development Goals (Agenda 2030).

GLF Accra 2019 is where you will want to be to meet the people making a difference through successful forest and landscape restoration work on the ground in Africa.

Join Global Landscapes Forum in Accra in October and meet with key stakeholders making progress through successful, community-led restoration work. Find out more about the policies, partnerships and incentives behind this work and discover how to tailor those approaches to fit other settings.

Network with the people making a difference in improving lives and livelihoods. Hear updates from leaders of forest and landscape restoration initiatives on progress toward achieving the Bonn Challenge, the New York Declaration on Forests, and the AFR100 (African Forest Landscape Restoration Initiative) restoration goals. Find out about impediments to success in landscape restoration and learn about strategies to overcome these barriers.

GLF Accra, held back-to-back with the Fourth AFR100 Annual Partnership Meeting, will feature success stories and effective approaches to forest and landscape restoration. Private sector representatives will discuss progress in achieving zero-deforestation commitments and advances in governance. Experts in tenure and supply chains will discuss what is working and what must change.
