Second edition of the International Leaders in Urban Governance Programme for African Countries | Land Portal

The 5-day long urban governance programme seeks to strengthen the capacity of decision-makers in the area of urban management and planning for sustainable urbanization, and develop skills and know-how in local finance, housing, urban planning and land management, mobility and urban sustainability.

Target Group: Senior decision makers, policy makers, and senior executives of national, sub-national and local government organizations who hold responsibilities over the planning, management and implementation of urban development policies, programmes and projects. Singapore and UN-Habitat encourage the participation of city/country teams comprised of 3 members as follows: mayor/deputy mayors with 2 senior directors or minister/deputy minister with 2 ministerial directors.  Other compositions will be considered on a case-per-case basis.
