The Stichting Environment & Development Resource Centre (EDRC) was established in Amsterdam in 1991 as a non-profit foundation.

Its aim is to contribute to the achievement of global sustainable development that is environmentally sound, socially just and respectful of cultural diversity.

The Earth League is an international alliance of institutional and individual members, who work together to respond to some of the most pressing issues faced by humankind including climate change, depletion of natural resources, land degradation, water scarcity, or food security. The work of the alliance is guided by the principles of sustainable development.

The Food Security Information Network (FSIN) is a global initiative to strengthen food and nutrition security information systems for producing reliable and accurate data to guide analysis and decision-making.

FSIN serves as a neutral technical platform for exchanging expertise, knowledge and best practices, developing harmonized methods and tools, and facilitating capacity development on food and nutrition security measurement and analysis.

 

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization, also called the North Atlantic Alliance, is an intergovernmental military alliance between 30 European and North American countries. The organization implements the North Atlantic Treaty that was signed on 4 April 1949. NATO constitutes a system of collective defence whereby its independent member states agree to mutual defence in response to an attack by any external party.

Initiated in 2001, Journal of Forest and Livelihood (ISSN 1684-0186) is a peer reviewed journal that documents and disseminates the insights, lessons and innovations taking place in socio-cultural, political and economic aspects of environmental governance and rural livelihoods in Nepal. We are open to all academic perspectives from political ecology and cultural politics, as long as they identify a relevant theoretical lens and draw implications for policy and practice.
