COPORWA (Communauté des Potiers du Rwanda = Rwandese Community of Potters) is a non-profit-making and non-political organization that works for the promotion and defence of the potters’ rights in Rwanda. COPORWA carries out its activities all over Rwanda, which is a country of East Africa. Its total area is 26.388 km2 and it is inhabited by about 11.000.000 people. The demographic growth of the country is approximately 2,8% every year. The potters make, with roughly 25.000-30.000 habitants, less than 1% of the whole population.

Vision:

By 2020 the UR will have educated the next generation of leaders in Rwanda who are prepared and dedicated to building a more just and sustainable world.

Mission:

The UR will support the development of Rwanda by discovering and advancing knowledge, committed to the highest standards of academic excellence , where students are prepared for lives of service, leadership and solutions.

Objectives (to include):

The Institute of Research and Dialogue for Peace (IRDP) contributes to the building of sustainable peace in Rwanda through participatory action research, the promotion of a culture of debate and dialogue on issues related to peace and by sharing experiences with other peace initiatives.

The Institute of Policy Analysis and Research-Rwanda is a registered independent, not-for-profit research and policy analysis Think Tank in Rwanda. It became fully functional in 2008 with the support of African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF ) and International Development Research Center (IDRC) with initial start up support from the Government of Rwanda.

Mission

INES as an Institute of Applied Sciences and its characteristics
Since its creation in 2003, INES chose following experts’ recommendations and the surrounding communities’ orient its teachings to Applied Sciences. By applied we mean that all the taught sciences at INES are applied to the population daily problems, seeking to propose answers to them. 

Description of the Centre

The Centre for Conflict Management (CCM), College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS), at the University of Rwanda (UR) was created in 1999 with financial support from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) through its “Trust Fund” for Rwanda. CCM mandate rises from particular challenges raised in the post-genocide context. It is both an answer to a research need to inspire policies and an opportunity to generate native knowledge on the deep causes of conflicts and potential strategies for the development of sustainable peace in our country.

RNRAs is an authority that leads the management of promotion of natural resources which is composed of land, water, forests, mines and geology. It shall be entrusted with supervision, monitoring and to ensure the implementation of issues relating to the promotion and protection of natural resources in programs and activities of all national institutions. Particularly, RNRA is responsible for:

1° implementing national policies, laws, strategies, regulations and government resolutions in matters relating to the promotion and protection of natural resources;

Rwanda Housing Authority is a public institution based in Rwanda with its head office in Kigali city. It an agency under the ministry of infrastructure, legally established by law no 40/2010 of 25/11/2010 and published in the official gazette no 09 of 28/02/ 2011.The Institution started operating in December 2010. Rwanda Housing Authority was established in order to organize the construction industry as a whole and by doing so to spur Economic Development and Poverty Reduction which guide Rwanda’s medium-term development.

VISION

REMA is non-sectorial institution mandated to facilitate coordination and oversight of the implementation of national environmental policy and the subsequent legislation.

REMA has a key role to play towards the achievement of the national goal of sustainable development as set in out in the National Developement Vision 2020.

The Rwanda Agriculture Board (RAB) is an autonomous body established by LAW N°38/2010 OF 25/11/2010. The law specifies that: RAB has the general mission of championing the agriculture sector development into a knowledge based; technology driven and market oriented industry, using modern methods in crop, animal, fisheries, forestry and soil and water management in food, fibre and fuel wood production and processing.
