Il y a un an, grâce à une bourse LEDE de Réseau de journalisme de solutions (Solutions Journalism Network ) et en collaboration avec le Land Portal, j'ai lancé un projet visant à trouver des histoires de réponses aux dommages causés à la terre et à l'environnement. Pendant cette période, j'ai affirmé que les communautés et les personnes du monde entier travaillent à la protection et à la guérison de l'environnement, même si ces histoires parviennent à peine aux grands médias.

In the last 15 years, Paraguay lost a greater share of its forest than almost any other country on Earth. While soy farming once drove deforestation in the east, the focus of Paraguay's forest loss has since moved west to the low-lying, thorn-forested Chaco, where cattle ranching has claimed over 3.7 million hectares (9 million acres) of forest for pastureland – an area about the size of the Netherlands – between 2001 and 2015.

La jeune femme, la quarantaine amorcée, nous annonce, qu’elle “va vendre ces feuilles dans les jours à venir afin d’acheter du riz pour nourrir sa petite famille.”  Mais pour obtenir ces feuilles, principal moyen de subsistance, la pygmée Bagyeli a dû parcourir des centaines de kilomètre car elles sont devenues rares.

These instruments are intended to have a direct influence on the governance of the tenure practice of states by providing an internationally recognized set of principles, and by simultaneously encouraging good practices.

The ASEAN Social Forestry Network (ASFN) is a government-driven social forestry network that links government forestry policy-makers directly with members of the civil society, research organizations, academia, the private sectors and experts of related fields,- all sharing the common grounds to vision the growth of social forestry in all ASEAN Member Countries.

Launched at the ASEAN Senior Officials on Forestry (ASOF) in August 2005, ASFN is the first and largest government-driven social forestry network in Southeast Asia.

CNVP (Connecting Natural Values and People) is a Dutch based organization operating in the Balkans. Being part of the forestry team within SNV http://www.snv.org a group of committed forestry engineers decided to establish CNVP in July, 2012. From its origins up to today this small team of enthusiastics has grown to 25 people from diversified backgrounds. Currently CNVP is implementing projects in Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
