This report presents the innovative experience in bamboo forestry management and the process of Communal Land Titling carried out by the community of Huay Hang and Napor, Sangthong District, Lao PDR. The systematization of this experience has been made possible with the cooperation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Ministry of Planning and Investment of Lao’s People Democratic Republic, the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the PROCASUR Corporation. They provided technical and methodological support in the process of documentation of the experience. We express our sincere thanks to them. The Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact (AIPP) partnered with PROCASUR Corporation and provided methodological support in the on-field activities of the systematization process of the Learning Route. Our special thanks to Gender and Development Association (GDA), based in Vientiane Capital who earnestly provided all the logistic and technical support for undertaking the on-field activities. Also, special appreciation goes to the District Lao Women Union (DLWU) and District Governor Office for their useful logistic support in the preparatory phase of the fieldwork and for their feedbacks during the activities in Sangthong district. The systematization of the experience was undertaken between August 26 and 29 2012 in Sangthong District, Laos PDR. It involved the community of Huay Hang and representatives from the community of Napor. Activities have been carried out using PROCASUR know how on South to South Cooperation through exchange of best practices and innovations, as part of a regional IFAD financed Learning Route Programme for Asia and the Pacific.
