The study looks into the work of two organizations- the Foundation for Ecological Security (FES) and BAIF Research Foundation, towards Common Land Developmentin the two States of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. A representative sample of villages with different time-periods of engagement with governance of Commons, different topography and agro-climatic features, diverse social-cultural contexts and institutional arrangements for governing Common Property Resources, have been selected to understand the process of vegetative growth in different location specific contexts.
