   A busca por recursos naturais sobressai nas investidas interna- cionais de alguns países, sendo a China uma das melhores ilustrações. Motiva a política externa chinesa, assim orientada, o abastecimento principalmente de matérias primas energéticas e de produtos agrícolas. Para as áreas implicadas, os desdobramentos podem se mostrar problemáticos, mormente pelas disputas por recursos essenciais. Este estudo focaliza esse assunto, investigando a parceria governamental entre China e Angola que criou a empresa Jiangzhou.

   Este artigo analisa os conflitos de terra que decorreram da instalação de uma fábrica de ferro na região da Ilamba, no interior de Angola, na segunda metade do século XVIII. A desapropriação das terras africanas, na África Centro-Ocidental, em períodos anteriores ao século XIX, é uma temática pouco abordada pela historiografia.

   Em Luanda, capital de Angola, o Governo despejou coercivamente e de forma violenta milhares de pessoas que viviam em áreas habitacionais informais com pouco ou nenhum aviso prévio. Em violação das próprias leis de Angola e das suas obrigações internacionais de direitos humanos, o Governo destruiu casas, culturas e bens pessoais dos moradores sem um processo justo e raramente concedeu indemnização.
