    An Agreement between between the Federal Government of the Republic of Austria and the Government of the Libyan Arab Republic on economic, scientific and technical cooperation. The Contracting Parties shall develop economic, scientific and technical co-operation for their mutual benefit. This cooperation shall include inter alia the following fields: oil, agriculture and land reclamation, energy, exchange of experts. Article 6 establishes that a joint Austrian-Libyan Arab Governmental Committee shall be estblished. The text consists of 9 articles.

    This Presidential Decree approves the funding agreement between the Government of Egypt and the International Fund for Agricultural Development on the project of developing farm irrigation in the old lands. The project will be implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of Egypt, the Agriculture Research Center, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation as well as other entities. The objective of the project is to improve irrigation networks, improve agricultural productivity, give market support to farmers, as well as enhancing water management.

    The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) - currently ratified by 187 countries - is the only human rights treaty that deals specifically with rural women (Art. 14).     This Agreement consists of 14 articles and it shall be subject to the provisions of Reciprocal Encouragement and Protection of Investment between the two Parts (art. 1). The Government of Sudan shall grant to the Government of Syria a land for exploitation located in Abu Quta-Province Alhsahisa situated in the State of Aljazeera with an area of 30,000 Faddan without any restriction rights (art. 2). The exploitation of the aforementioned land shall be valid for 50 years (art. 3).

    The Contracting States, in the belief that objectives set out in the Preamble would be better achieved by amending the 1968 Algiers Convention on the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources by expanding elements related to sustainable development, have agreed on measures to enhance environmental protection, to foster the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources; and to harmonize and coordinate policies in these fields with a view to achieving ecologically rational, economically sound and socially acceptable development policies and programs for the Convention area.
