    This Act provides for rules relative to a tenement scheme and other matters relative to tenements as defined in section 26 of the Act such as boundaries and pertinents, resolution of disputes, support and shelter, repairs: costs and access, insurance, installation of service pipes etc., demolition and abandonment of tenement building, liability for certain costs, etc. The tenement scheme provides for the management and maintenance of the scheme property of a tenement.

    The Act consists of 95 sections divided into 8 Parts. In Chpater I of Part I the various types of agricultural tenancy are defined. Chapter 2 contains general provision as to new types of tenancy. Part 2 provides for the tenant's right to buy land. Part III concerns diversification of use of land under agricultural tenancy. A tenant under a tenancy mentioned in section 39(1) who intends to use the land for a non-agricultural purpose must send a notice to the landlord. The landlord may object to the notice of diversification under certain circumstances (sect. 40).

    This Act provides with respect to definition of tenancy rights in respect to agricultural holdings. A secure tenancy is a long term heritable tenancy with security of tenure and a succession right An agricultural holding is the consolidation of agricultural land, fixed equipment, house, buildings, in any tenancy arrangement between a landlord and a tenant farmer.

    This Act introduces a system to encourage high hedge problem issues to be resolved through neighbourly discussion or mediation, and failing that, the facility for persons alleging that they are suffering a loss of the reasonable enjoyment of their property due to a neighbouring evergreen/semi-evergreen high hedge to lodge a formal complaint with their local council. The council will be acting as an independent and impartial third party.

    This Act provides rules relative to tenancy agreements concerning agricultural holdings, i.e. the aggregate of the land comprised in a contract for an agricultural tenancy. The Act among other things: places a restriction on letting agricultural land for less than from year to year, defines various other terms of contract, also in relation to cultivation of land and disposal of produce, and provides with respect to arbitration in relation with tenancy agreements.

    These Rules prescribe the procedure to be followed in proceedings before the Registrar appointed under the Land Registration Act, 1925. Part I imports the Overriding Objective contained in Rule 1.1 of the Civil Procedure Rules 1998 and requires the Registrar, with the assistance of the parties, to seek to give effect to that objective throughout the proceedings.Part II deals with all cases where the Registrar has decided to conduct a hearing. Rule 3 requires him to notify the parties of his intention and to provide guidance relating to evidence and procedure.

    An Act to make provision for farm business tenancies which begin after 1 September 1995. Section 4 excludes in part the Agricultural Holding Act, 1986 to tenancies covered by the present Act. Sections 5 to 7 provide rules for the termination of tenancies. Tenancies continuing for more than two years shall afterwards continue from year to year unless terminated by notice (sect. 5). Section 8 recognizes the right of a tenant to remove buildings and fixtures.
