    The present Act lays down provisions relating to public lands. The Minister shall have charge of the management, sale and disposition of the public lands and forests. For the purpose of the present Act “mines and minerals” includes gold, silver, copper, lead, iron and other mines and minerals, and quarries, and beds of stone, marble or gypsum. The text consists of 75 sections divided into 4 Parts as follows: Ministry of Natural Resource (I); Road on public lands (II); Provisions of general application (III); Construction of dams (IV).

    This Act concerns the assessment of the impact of human activities on the environment (57 sections).     This Act concerns the taxes related to the transfer of land. It covers assessment of taxes, their registration, collection and refund. Under section 9, records of every person required to file an affidavit or deliver a return under section 5 shall keep at their principal place of business documents, records and accounts in such form and containing such information as will enable an accurate determination of the taxes payable under this Act. Other provisions concern investigation (sect. 10), appeals (sect. 14), lien on real property (sect. 15) and dispute resolution (sect. 20).

    The present Regulation lays down provisions relating to electronic registration under the Land Registration Reform Act. Section 2 establishes that no person shall submit a document for electronic registration until having obtained a registration account number or other authorization from the land registrar of the land registry office where the person submits the document or a person authorized by the Director.     The present Regulation is made under the Surveyors Act. In particular the Regulation lays down provisions relating to the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors. The principal object of the Association is to regulate the practice of professional land surveying and to govern its members and holders of certificates of authorization in accordance with the afore-mentioned Act and the present Regulations serve and protect the public interest. The Regulation includes the code of ethics and the standards of practice, which must be adhered to by all members of the Association.

    This regulation implements the Assessment Act. It contains provisions related to the classes of real property (Part II) and to subclasses of real property (Part III). It specifies what constitutes conservation land and the related tax exemption provisions (Part IV). It provides for the settlement of disputes related to the managed forests property class (Part VI) and of disputes relating to conservation land (Part VII). Part VIII is dedicated to the assessment of pipelines.
