Documents de politique et mémoiresdécembre, 2009TurquieThis study was conducted during the period of April 2005 to April 2007 to determine the distribution of the shrub species in maquis in the district of Erdemli, near the Taurus Mountains. The experimental design had three different altitudes (0- 400 m, 400-800 m and over 800 m) and in two geographical sites (north and south) was determined according to sampling method with no plots. Thirty eight shrub species were found in 18 different research locations chosen on different altitudes and sites. The distribution of species showed a variation depending on the altitudes.

The objective of this study was to evaluate response of parcel orientation on crop yield and yield characteristics. The study was carried out on second crop maize in Bafra District of Samsun province in 2001 and 2002 years. The experiment was established at four different directions (east-west, north-south, northeast-southwest and northwest-southeast) containing the plots with 70x12 cm row spacing and row planting distances in three replications.

The main objective of this study was to investigate changing of land uses and land covers and to compare current conditions of the basin with project results that were performed in 1961-2006 and to determine some soil properties of the basin. Stand relating to 1995 and 2006, geological and topographical maps and climatic data were used in this study. According to results, while forest area covered 14.5 % of the total area in 1955 was increased (35.8 %), degraded coppice, degraded blackpine and agricultural lands were decreased 5.7, 1.8 and 15.8% respectively.
