Gediz Delta is place of empties itself into the sea of Gediz River. Its one of the important wetland of Turkey which under the protection of Ramsar Convention. It has lots of lagoones, salt marshes, freshwater marshes, large saltpans and also ornitotourism place Kuş Cenneti. Gediz Delta has rich flora and fauna biodiversity because of this its important place for natural life sustainability.
Today, natural and cultural reserves are being rapidly lost; however, no efficient protection approaches are being put forward. Existent reserves face with the danger of extinction as the result of the land-misuses and excessive utilisation. In order to make accurate and effective reserve management and planning decisions, optimal land-uses targeting the preservation ecological structure should be determined elaborately.
The objective of this study was to evaluate response of parcel orientation on crop yield and yield characteristics. The study was carried out on second crop maize in Bafra District of Samsun province in 2001 and 2002 years. The experiment was established at four different directions (east-west, north-south, northeast-southwest and northwest-southeast) containing the plots with 70x12 cm row spacing and row planting distances in three replications.
This investigation was conducted for both constituting an urban land use planning and criticizing the appropriateness of the uses with respect to ecology by taking into consideration the ecological factors in the centre and the periphery of Çanakkale city. A method based on "Maximum Values Map Approximation Method" was used in this present study. A suggested land use map of the study area was constructed for these usage types according to the arrangements of their priorities by the experts.

The increase of coastal problems as a result of rapid developments and changes brought new planning and management needs into the agenda. The Integrated Coastal Area Management (ICAM) concept developed under the Mediterranean Action Plan (MAP) includes solutions towards the sustainable use of coastal areas in the Mediterranean Region. Antalya is the province of Turkey with the longest coastline on the Mediterranean Sea. Side- Manavgat coasts of the province are privileged areas with their natural beaches, sand dune forests, rivers and natural and historical relic sites.
In recent years, infrastructure investments, especially construction of new roads and upgrading of existing ones, have accelerated in Turkey. Expropriation cases related to building plot and land have increased due to these investments. One subject causes conflict and leads to the prolongation of cases due to the misuse of building plot-land discrimination.
This study is carried out to determine land use changes by Geographic Information Systems and Remote sensing methods in Yenimahalle district of Ankara province. Changes in land use were identified between 2000-2005 and 2000-2010. For the study Landsat-5 image of year 2000, Ikonos image of year 2005, and SPOT image of year 2010 were used. 1:25000 scale topo maps and soil maps, and CORINE land use data were also used. GPS data collected from field were used for ground truth studies.
In the frame of Agricultural Reform Implementation Project (ARIP) financed by World Bank, a regulation numbered 5495 and concerning the planning of the hazelnut production and determining of planting areas and supporting the farmers who make a choice of alternative crop farming instead of hazelnut farming was put in to practice in 2003.
This study was applied in Edirne province Havsa district. For determination of land use efficiency of Havsa, satellite image and GIS were used. For this purpose the data of General Directorate of Rural Services which belongs to 1993 year, ASTER satellite images which belongs to 2008 year and topographic maps were used. For performing calculations in ERDAS software unclassified classification applied and 15 classes were formed. For performing supervised classification field work applied.
