These Regulations prescribe rules for determining areas of land to be included in calculating the total area of licensed land and application land for the purposes of section 89 of the Bermuda Immigration and Protection Act 1956.
This Act stipulates that a corporate body shall, subject to provisions of this Act, be capable of acquiring and holding any real or personal property in joint tenancy in the same manner as if it were an individual. On the dissolution of the corporate body, the property in which a corporate body is a joint tenant shall devolve on the other joint tenant.
This Act requires a body corporate acquiring land at certain conditions or a body corporate that disposes of such land to deposit a memorandum on the transaction in the office of Registrar-General. Failing to do so constitutes an offence. The Registrar-General shall keep a register, by parishes, of land held by bodies corporate in Bermuda and shall annually report on this to the Governor, for the information of the Legislature.
This Act concerns civil proceedings against the Crown and concerns liability of the Crown. As for relief that may be obtained from the Crown, in any proceedings against the Crown for the recovery of land or other property the court shall not make an order for the recovery of the land or for the delivery of the property, but may in lieu thereof make an order declaring that the plaintiff is entitled against the Crown to the land or property or to the possession thereof.
The Rules concern appeals under section 57 of the Act. Under section 57, the Director of Planning or any person aggrieved by a decision of the Development Applications Board may by notice under that section appeal to the Minister. Matters provided for include: time limit for appealing, notice of appeal, service of notice, Director of Planning's case, additional documents, the record, appeals where no inquiry held, Minister may dismiss appeal in spite of certain irregularities, extension of time, abandonment of appeal.

These Rules concern applications for planning permission in the sense of section 1 of the Development and Planning Act 1974. They specify documentation requirements of the application such as architectural plan, draft plan of subdivision, location plan, site excavation plan, and site plan. Applications include applications for: applications to develop land, applications to subdivide land and applications for carrying out foreshore work. Other provisions concern procedures of applications and decision making, notification, etc.
This Act stipulates that, notwithstanding any provision to the contrary made in or under the Act but subject to section 5 of this Act, it is lawful for the Base Lands to be developed and used in accordance with the Base Lands Plan. The Plan has effect by virtue of this rule as a development plan under the Act in relation to those Lands.
