Determining areas affected by forest succession is one of the main tasks aimed at shaping rural areas. Effective determination of the parameters of the dynamics of forest succession in areas used for agriculture is the basis for understanding the phenomenon of land cultivation abandonment. Understanding it allows to implement a proper policy limiting the negative effects of giving up agricultural production. There are many methods to determine forested areas. The most popular group of the methods includes those that rely on the use of LiDAR data.

In this survey, the objective was to understand and evaluate the actual situation of competition over or sharing of resources and space between nomads and wild animals with regard to nomadic grazing within a national park. The subjects of the survey were the Rupshu Changpa (hereinafter referred to as Rupshupa), who move in the Rupshu area of the Ladakh region in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, and the Kiang (Equus kiang kiang), which inhabit the area around Tso Kar Lake in Rupshu.

Various forms of coastal landuse covering study site (46,785.69 hectares) were observed to underwent changes as evidently detected between satellite images sensed in 1994 and 2001 at the Banten Bay. It was important to identify what these changes were. Therefore, appropriate change detection must be selected. The image preprocessing step involved removing errors from raster data. This was done by performing basic processes, such as, radiometric correction, geometric correction and image calibration.

The productivity of different lettuce groups and roquette was evaluated when sown in two different periods and cultivated either singly or intercropped. Theses experiments were carried out in Jaboticabal, São Paulo State, Brazil. The first growing period was from May to August (Autumn-Winter) and the second from September to November (Spring) of 2001. The experimental design was a randomized complete block with four replications. The treatments consisted of the combination of the following factors levels: lettuce groups (crisp, cv. Vera; looseleaf, cv. Elisa; and crisphead lettuce, cv.

In this paper we study the interplay between residential location choice, sprawl and water quality. We propose an urban economics model of a, first, monocentric, then, polycentric city with two di erent residential areas : sewer-serviced suburbia, with small residential lot size, and exurbia where wastewater management is individual and on-site and residential lots are larger to accomodate sanitary requirements. Sewer and septic are also characterized by di erent abatement e ciencies.
