This Act stipulates that, notwithstanding any provision to the contrary made in or under the Act but subject to section 5 of this Act, it is lawful for the Base Lands to be developed and used in accordance with the Base Lands Plan. The Plan has effect by virtue of this rule as a development plan under the Act in relation to those Lands.

Order relative to planning development permission for the quarry site described in the Second Schedule. Planning permission is granted for any use of, or operation at, the Quarry site for the following purposes: (a) the storage of off-site rip rock or rubble, or the storage of aggregate; (b) the installation and use of crushing machinery, at any location within the area of the Quarry site shown hatched black on the plan, for the processing of rip rock, soil or spoil into aggregate of such gradations as may from time to time be required.

These Regulations stipulate that where a building or other land is used for a purpose of any class specified in the Schedule, the use of such building or other land for any other purpose of the same class shall not be deemed for the purposes of the Development and Planning Act 1974 to involve development of the land, provided that remains the necessity of obtaining planning permission for a change in the use of any building or land if such change involves an intensification of user amounting to a material change in the use.

This Act concerns the development of land described in the Schedule. Section 3 provides for the creation of the Bermuda Land Development Company Limited. The general purpose of the Company is to manage, or oversee the management of, the land entrusted to it with a view: (a) generally, to the integration of that land into the economic and social fabric; (b) in particular, to the creation of opportunities for increased employment now and in the future, in furtherance of the well-being of the present and future generations of Bermudians.

These Regulations provide rules relative to the keeping of bovine animal, swine, sheep, goat or horse for purposes of soil conservation. No person shall keep or cause or permit any other person to keep animals, otherwise than in accordance with these Regulations or in accordance with a permit issued under regulation 4. Separate rules apply to zero grazing units in the sense of the Agriculture (Control of Animal Diseases) Regulations 1947. Regulation 3 prescribes a minimum area of land for each animal grazed. Regulation 5 places restriction on the importing animals.

This Act provides for acquisition of lands by the Government for public purposes. No land shall be acquired by the Government: (a) unless the acquisition of the land or the purpose for which it is to be acquired has been expressly authorized by the Legislature (except for construction of roads). The acquisition of land by the Government shall be by means of purchase by agreement or by means of compulsory purchase as provided for in this Act. Part II concerns purchase by agreement between the Minister and the owner of the land.
