    Within the framework of the Federal Land Use Planning Act of 22 December 2008 (BGBl. I p. 2986), the present Law regulates land use planning in the Saarland. The whole Saarland shall be subject to a sustainable planning policy. The text, consisting of 14 articles, deals with the following aspects: tasks of land use planning, land use planning authorities, land development plan, drawing up of the land development plan; environmental assessment, conservation of plan; special proceedings ; safeguard and implementation of land use plan, compensation and transitional and final provisions.

    The present Ordinance implements the Directive 2001/42/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 June 2001 on the assessment of the effects of certain plans and programmes on the environment. The text consists of 28 articles divided into 4 Parts as follows: Purpose and organization of land use planning (I); Town and country planning (II); Safeguard and implementation of land use planning (III); Transitional and final provisions (IV).

    The present Act introduces some amendments to the Fertilizer Act of 9 January 2009. In particular, the Act adds article 3 on National action programme concerning protection of water-bodies against nitrate pollution; participation of the public. Furthermore, the Ordinance adds article 11a on Handling of nutrients in enterprises, management of nutrients; article 13a on Quality management. The text consists of 3 articles.

    The present Ordinance lays down provisions implementing land use planning regulations for the common area of Berlin-Brandenburg. The specific purpose of the Ordinance is to ensure the compatibility of land use planning with the requirements of a sustainable development keeping future generations in mind. Projects of land use planning shall be dealt with by the competent authority within 6 months.

    The main aim of the present Act is to ensure that the entire territory of the Federal Republic of Germany and the related regions shall be developed, organized and protected by general regional plans. In so doing 1) differing requirements shall be harmonized and related conflicts shall be solved at local planning level; 2) provisions shall be made regarding specific activities and individual land uses.

    The present Act lays down provisions relating to land consolidation. Article 1 establishes that to improve production, working conditions in agriculture and forestry, as well as to improve general land use planning and land development, owned land may be consolidated. This is executed by means of official procedures within a certain area with the participation of the totality of land owners and competent authorities. The implementation of land consolidation shall be given top priority by the Länder. Accordingly, they shall appoint the competent organs.

    Article 4 of the above-mentioned Ordinance establishes that the agricultural land in Baden-Württemberg is classified according to the degree of erosion hazard with a view to erosion caused by water or by wind. Article 7 lays down provisions relating to measures aimed at the avoidance of erosion. The text consists of 9 articles and 5 Annexes.
