Introducción
In view of the lack of human resources with specific competencies in costumary land rights, within the past two decades FAO and various non-governmental organizations have developed materials and methodologies for the dissemination of the Land Law and the participatory delimitation of rural communities.
Teso Initiative for Peace (TIP) received funds from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) that has been delegated through Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) under a project titled “Responsible Land Policy in Uganda” (RELAPU).
Peru has formalized property rights for 1,200 indigenous communities in the Amazon. These titled indigenous lands cover over 11 million hectares and represent approximately 17% of the national forest area.
