People whose ancestors inhabited a place or a country when persons from another culture or ethnic background arrived on the scene and dominated them through conquest, settlement, or other means and who today live more in conformity with their own social, economic, and cultural customs and traditions than those of the country of which they now form a part.

O Iepé – Instituto de Pesquisa e Formação Indígena é uma entidade da sociedade civil sem fins lucrativos, criada em 2002, cuja missão é contribuir para o fortalecimento cultural e político e para o desenvolvimento sustentável das comunidades indígenas que vivem no Amapá e norte do Pará, proporcionando-lhes assessoria especializada e capacitação técnica diversificada, entre as quais estão gestão de projetos, valorização e gestão de patrimônios culturais, educação escolar diferenciada, educação em saúde, fortalecimento político e gestão territorial e ambiental.

A revista Temática é uma publicação mensal de Comunicação e áreas afins (interdisciplinar), destinada à publicação de artigos científicos de pesquisadores da graduação e da pós-graduação (graduandos, graduados, mestrandos, mestres, doutorandos, doutores e pós-doutores). Fundada em 2004, tem conceito Qualis da Capes e atualmente está integrada ao NAMID - Núcleo de Arte, Midia e Informação Digital, do Curso de Comunicação em Mídias Digitais (DEMID/CCHLA/UFPB). A Temática recebe artigos em fluxo contínuo. Trabalhos que não estiverem atendendo rigorosamente as Diretrizes para autores não serão avaliados.

Maya America/Revista Maya America is an interdisciplinary and open access journal that publishes in English and Spanish. Academic essays are double-blind peer reviewed while the creative works are peer reviewed. Authors keep full rights over their work. Although the journal takes its name from the contemporary Maya Diaspora, we also welcome essays and commentary that discuss the Americas in additional ways.

The Alianza Territorial Mapuche (PuLofMapuXawvn ) is one of the grassroots organizations based in Gulu Mapu, the Chilean side of Wallmapu. The ATM’s core mission is the full defence of the Mapuche’s inherent rights, especially concerning the protection of their territory and natural environment. ATM is similar to an NGO in the sense that the organization is not registered under Chilean law. The ATM covers different territories of the Mapuche Nation and is involved in several communities that feel they represent the spirit of the organization.
