El presente documento constituye el informe sobre la situación de los defensores de la tierra y el territorio en Honduras, promovido por la International Land Coalition (ILC).
There is a correlation between socio-economic development, human rights and the empowerment of men and women to participate at all levels of decision making. Secure land rights are an important precondition for the achievement of these goals, including and the realisation of a broad spectrum of human rights: adequate housing, equality, food, health, work and education.
Glocalizing land-use and forest governance implies in advancing equitable research partnerships between institutions in the Global South and Global North, and strengthening a community of practice for critical enquiry and engagement in partnerships for sustainable development.
To solve some of our greatest global challenges we need to accelerate how we use data for good. But to truly make data-driven tools that serve society, we must re-imagine data for social impact more broadly, more inclusively, and in a more
interdisciplinary way.This is easy to talk about, but harder to act on as we work to build a new field of data for social impact.
