The purpose of the present Agreement is to: a) exchange GEOINT (Geospatial Intelligence Information) Information for the use of both Parties for defence purposes; b) establish and implement cooperative production programmes, other cooperative efforts and co-production programmes; c) establish and implement mutual technical assistance. The present Law transposes into national Law the Directive 2010/30/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on the indication by labelling and standard product information of the consumption of energy and other resources by energy-related products.

The present Ordinance implements the Directive 2009/28/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources of 23 April 2009. In particular, the Law lays down provisions relating to building technology and building equipment, as well as to special environmental, health and energy requirements of buildings.
To promote cooperation in spatial planning, land use planning and regional politics, particularly as they concern areas close to the common borders, an Austrian-Slovenian Commission for spatial planning, land use planning and regional politic is established. The text consists of 7 articles.
The Act contains at the outset a definition clause relating to the various terms therein employed, such as "land", "building land", "building permit", "foreigner", "planning permission", etc. Part 3 regulates in particular the transfer of agricultural and forestry land and the requirements for its conversion into building land.
