This Act applies to: 1) formation of real estate and other register units; 2) changing the property division in other ways; 3) confirmation of matters concerning the dimensions of a register unit or other property division matters; and 4) registration and amalgamation of real estate and other register units.

The scope of the principal Act is to improve the structure of agriculture and forestry as well as rural activities in general. The amendments concern, inter alia, the scope of the Act in the light of the common agricultural policy of the European Communities, the definitions of enterprise restructuring and certain others, economic requirements for the granting of financial support (sect.

Decree to implement provisions of the Act on combating oil pollution on land of 1974. It prescribes measures to prevent or combat oil pollution caused by the storage of oil. Specific duties are laid on the party storing oil for safe storage and to prepare a contingency plan if more than one million liters of oil is stored at the same site.

This Law regulates various matters relating to real property (not defined) such as disposal, registration of title and other rights, and rights in and over real estate such as liens. The Act consists of 21 Chapters divided into 5 Parts.Part 1 provides rules for the sale and acquisition of real estate.

The amendments introduced by the present Act concern the use of land and procedures for the formation of real property. Section 38 is amended so as to provide for formation of common forests and land use rights with respect to common forests, and in particular servitude. Such servitude shall be established in accordance with procedures outlined in section 43.

This Act provides for procedures and conditions of enforcement of obligations or injunctions in private law including an obligation to transfer real estate or specific chattels to another and an obligation to transfer into the possession of another real estate, a building, accommodations, other premises or a part thereof or an obligation to move there from.

The principal Act provides for the procedures of the application for rights relative to constructions in watercourses or related to watercourses as foreseen in the Water Act (sect. 1). The amendments of the principal Act are made mainly as a consequence of the introduction of the Real Property Formation Act (554/95) which formulates, inter alia, rules relative to land survey and mapping.
