The forms added by these Regulations to the principal Regulations and set out in the Schedule to these Regulations are forms required to be prescribed under sections 22(2) and 23(1) of the Land Acquisition Act, 1994. The forms concern a request for advance payment of compensation, and a request for payment of compensation.
This Act transfers real estate undertakings from the Caroni (1975) Limited and Orange Grove National Company Limited, both wholly owned state enterprises, to the State.

These Regulations, in implementing provisions of the Land Surveyors Act, make further provision for registration and qualification of land surveyors and establish rules for carrying out land surveys. Regulations 3 to 5 specify qualifications, whereas regulation 6 concerns registration. A Code of Ethics is laid down in the Third Schedule.
The present Regulation implements section 29 of the Alberta Land Stewardship Act and provides for the notice and registration of conservation easements.
The present Regulations are made under the Real Property Tax Act. In particular, the Regulation lays down detailed provisions relating to the enforcement of the afore-mentioned Act in the Province.
The aim of this Act is to protect "agricultural land reserves", as established under the Agricultural Land Commission Act. It is based upon a basic prohibition to either remove soil or bring any material onto agricultural land reserves, unless accompanied by a local authority permit, or by the written approval of the Provincial Agricultural Land Commission (sect. 2).
This Act concern environmental assessment as a means to integrating environmental factors into planning and decision making processes in order to promote sustainable development. The Act contains provisions on the projects requiring environmental assessment (sect. 4), on the environmental assessment process (sect. 10), on decisions and appeals against decisions and on dispute settlement.
