For people around the world, land is more than a commodity to be bought and sold, developed and exploited. Land is home, heritage and livelihood. Land is life. Millions of men and women bear the brunt of political and grand corruption in relation to land: when they are not involved in decision-making on land deals, their land is grabbed, or expropriated, and/or they are inadequately compensated for their land.

Corrupt practices within land administration and management are known simply as land corruption and affect 1 in every 5 citizens worldwide. The video below has been produced by Transparency International to explain the many forms of land corruption and its impact on women, men, communities and nations around the world. Please share widely and help us to stop land corruption around the world.
