As autoridades argelinas agendaram para quinta-feira a evacuação de dezenas de agricultores marroquinos da zona fronteiriça perto da província de Figuig.
 
As fazendas pertencentes a cidadãos marroquinos estão em uma área chamada Laarja, que faz parte da região de Figuig, que faz fronteira com o sudeste do Marrocos e o sudoeste da Argélia.

Bogotá, 7 dez 2020 (AFP) - Quase 1.000 indígenas abandonaram suas terras no noroeste da Colômbia depois que supostos paramilitares sequestraram e mataram um ex-líder da comunidade nativa, informou a Defensoria do Povo nesta segunda-feira (7).

Indígenas de todo o país estão mobilizados há quase dois anos para uma votação do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF) que pode ser decisiva para o reconhecimento dos territórios indígenas. Em jogo, está a suspensão ou não do parecer 001/2017 da Advocacia Geral da União (AGU), que estabeleceu um “marco temporal” para permitir novas demarcações de terras indígenas (TI). A decisão já foi adiada duas vezes, nos dias 10 de agosto e 22 de outubro deste ano, e o presidente do Supremo, Luiz Fux, ainda não confirmou a nova data para julgamento.

Territórios registram altos números de focos de calor em setembro, após área desmatada mais que dobrar em 2019. Com presença crescente, invasores apostam na regularização, inclusive loteando áreas dentro das reservas.Das cinco terras indígenas (TIs) que mais queimaram em setembro no Pará, quatro estão na bacia do rio Xingu, somando 83% dos focos de calor nesse tipo de área no estado.

Burma Link is a non-profit non-governmental organisation that was founded by foreign specialists in the field of ethnic relations and international development together with refugees and migrants from Burma in August 2012 in Mae La refugee camp, Thailand. We set up Burma Link to centralise information on Burma’s conflict and displacement situation and to amplify the voices of local organisations working towards free and peaceful Burma.

The Centre for Economic and Social Studies (CESS) was established as an autonomous research Centre in 1980. The Free Burma Rangers (FBR) are a mainly Christian pro-active, pro-democracy humanitarian group who work throughout Burma (also known as Myanmar) but concentrate primarily on the heavily forested border region, delivering emergency medical assistance to sick and injured internally displaced people, or IDP's; a consequence of the long running campaign of violence by the military junta, the State Peace and Development Council, against Burma's ethnic minorities.

Housing, Land, and Property Area of Responsibility

GLOBAL LEVEL COORDINATION

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) has been leading the Housing, Land and Property (HLP) Area of Responsibility (AoR) since 2016.  Globally, the membership of the HLP AoR includes UN agencies, NGOs, research and academic institutions, donors, human rights and development agencies, and representatives of other AoRs and global clusters.

Odisha is one of the federal States of the Union of India which came into existence from 1936. The Government of Odisha has number of Departments under it, like the Ministry in case of Government of India, to deal with administration and governance of the State of Odisha. As land is under the State list of the Constitution of India, Revenue and Disaster Management Department of the Government of Odisha has been mainly dealing with matters related to land.

The legal data collected for Nicholas Tagliarino's dissertation and posted on Land Book examines whether national expropriation, compensation, and resettlement laws in developing countries are adopting international standards designed to secure tenure rights and ensure responsible land governance. The analysis conducted for this dataset is based on Section 16 of the UN Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance of Tenure, which establishes standards on expropriation, compensation, and resettlement.

In partnership with the FIDH, OMCT created the Observatory for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders in 1997. This unique collaboration is based on the complementarity of each organisation’s approach and is based on their respective NGO networks. In parallel, many meetings on this subject have been held, culminating with Forum 1998, which brought together more than 600 NGOs from 60 countries, just before the adoption of the United Nations’ Declaration on Human Rights Defenders in 1998.
