Land information system (LIS) is a convenient tool in the legal, administrative and economic decision-making process. The data of LIS includes: cartographic basis of spatial land datasets, thematic spatial land datasets and a variety of important information from the cadastre, registers and information systems.
The purpose of this research is to analyse the situation of policy documents and basic laws (constitutions), related to the rational use of rural land and fertile soil as an important natural resource.
The beginning of the restitutional land reallocation reform in 1991 brought a rapid change in agricultural land utilisation and user groups resulting in the decrease of state land users’ categories and the growth of private agricultural land areas used by farmers and other natural and legal entities.
From the old times Lithuanian manors were the main centres of diplomacy, administration and culture. The applied land reforms, war and post-war periods and changing regimes altered the structures of the manors; their owners and users changed as well. The number of homesteads of manors and their territory highly decreased.
The article presents the comparative analysis of the Kaunas city anthropogenic landscape change during the period between 2006 and 2014. For this analysis the land fund statistics of the Republic of Lithuania were used. The components of anthropogenic landscape change are graphically shown in the figures.

The Minister validates the methods of land rehabilitation of landscapes damaged as a result of subsoil management due to mining and extraction of minerals. It shall not be applicable to deep quarries subject to issuance of special permits for operation thereof.

The Land Tenure Journal is a peer-reviewed, open-access flagship journal of the Climate, Energy and Tenure Division (NRC) of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The Land Tenure Journal, launched in early 2010, is a successor to the Land Reform, Land Settlement and Cooperatives, which was published between 1964 and 2009.
