The present Regulations enact the Mineral Resources Act. The Regulations lay down provisions relating to mineral resources in the Province of Nova Scotia. For the purpose of the present Regulations “base map” means the National Topographic Series maps on a scale of 1:50 000 made by Natural Resources Canada. In particular, section 4 establishes that the base maps must be used as the basis for establishing claim reference maps to determine the boundaries of claims, licences, leases and non-mineral registrations. The text - consisting of 83 sections – deals with the following aspects: boundaries, records, service and delivery of documents, transfers, caveat, registration as a prospector, licences, assessment work, excavation, leases, non-mineral registration, fees, royalties and general provision. Nineteen forms are enclosed.
