These Regulations of the Cabinet Secretary implement provisions of the Land Registration Act in respect of the organization and administration of land registries, the procedures for the registration of land, and related matters. The land register referred to under section 7 of the Act shall contain (a) the property section; (b) the proprietorship section; and (c) the encumbrance section. The Regulations set out the content of each section and also of the proprietorship section of a register that pertains to community land.

These Rules of the National Land Commission implement provisions of the Land Registration Act in respect of the amount of compensation to be awarded for land acquired under the Act. It, among other things, sets out factors to be taken into consideration when assessing compensation. The Commission shall determine an award based on the market value of the land to be acquired.

These Rules of the National Land Commission implement provisions of the Land Registration Act in respect of conversion of public land into private land. The national or county government may, on its own motion or upon a request, identify the land and notify the Commission, in Form LA I set out in the Schedule, of its intention to convert the land from one category to another pursuant to section 9 of the Act. The Commission shall consider the notification on specified criteria. For example, the land must not be part of an ecologically sensitive area.

These Regulations of the National Land Commission implement provisions of the Land Act, 2012 in respect of allocation of public land under the Act. The National land Commission shall upon the request of the national or a county government, where necessary, allocate the whole or part of a specific public land by (a) public auction; (b) application confined to a targeted group of persons or groups; (c) public notice of tenders; (d) public drawing of lots; (e) public request for proposals; and (f) public land exchange of equal value. These Regulations of the National Land Commission, made under section 36 of the National Land Commission Act, 2012, concern correction of historical land injustices that occurred in a period between 1895 and 2010. Pursuant to Article 67 (2) (e) of the Constitution and section 15 (1) of the National Land Commission Act, 2012, the Commission may initiate investigations on its own initiative or upon a complaint into historical land injustices and recommend appropriate redress.

This Act concerns the development of tourism in Marsabit county. It provides for the formulation of a county tourism strategy by the Executive Committee Member and the establishment of the establishment of Tourism Regulatory and Licensing Unit. One of the objects of the Act is to promote the practice of responsible and sustainable tourism (defined). The Executive Committee Member may by notice in the County Gazette designate tourism Areas in consultation with the Cabinet Secretary responsible for Tourism at the National level.
