ACTSA: Action for Southern Africa is the successor organisation to the Anti-Apartheid Movement in the United Kingdom. Established in 1994, ACTSA has since been campaigning with the people of southern Africa as they strive to build a better future; working for peace, democracy and development across the region. It is a coalition member of the Stop AIDS Campaign, the Trade Justice Movement, and Stop Climate Chaos.

    British Academy

The British Academy is the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences – the study of peoples, cultures and societies, past, present and future. We have three principal roles: as an independent Fellowship of world-leading scholars and researchers; a Funding Body that supports new research, nationally and internationally; and a Forum for debate and engagement – a voice that champions the humanities and social science.

We develop leaders with a social purpose so that they can transform their communities, organisations and the world around them.

We help make social change happen by supporting and investing in people - people who we think can become leaders with the resilience, self-awareness and capabilities to tackle the social challenges of the 21st century.

    What we do

We are reminded on a daily basis that the natural environment in which we live is vitally important for our well-being, whether it is in the form of climate change, global warming, declining fertility or dwindling natural resources.

Forest Research is the Forestry Commission’s research agency. Forest Research is Great Britain’s principal organisation for forestry and tree related research and is internationally renowned for the provision of evidence and scientific services in support of sustainable forestry. Forest Research works for many Government departments, all the devolved administrations, forestry and land management stakeholders, environmental NGO’s and the European Union.

    Geological Society of London logo

The Geological Society of London is the UK national society for geoscience, providing support to over 10,000 members in the UK and overseas. Founded in 1807, we are the oldest geological society in the world.

The United Kingdom has historically played a leading role in developing parliamentary democracy and in advancing literature and science. At its zenith in the 19th century, the British Empire stretched over one-fourth of the earth's surface. The first half of the 20th century saw the UK's strength seriously depleted in two world wars and the Irish Republic's withdrawal from the union. The second half witnessed the dismantling of the Empire and the UK rebuilding itself into a modern and prosperous European nation.

We’re a charity founded in 1895 by three people who saw the importance of our nation’s heritage and open spaces and wanted to preserve them for everyone to enjoy.  More than 120 years later, these values are still at the heart of everything we do. We look after special places throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland for ever, for everyone.

As a charity we rely for income on membership fees, donations and legacies, and revenue raised from our commercial operations.

Natural Resources Wales is the largest Welsh Government Sponsored Body - employing 1,900 staff across Wales with a budget of £180 million. We were formed in April 2013, largely taking over the functions of the Countryside Council for Wales, Forestry Commission Wales and the Environment Agency in Wales, as well as certain Welsh Government functions.

      Plan International UK Ltd logo

Plan International UK is a children’s charity. We strive to advance children’s rights and equality for girls all over the world.

We recognise the power and potential of every single child. But this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it’s girls who are most affected. Our Because I am a Girl campaign is a global movementthat’s taking action to see a world that values girls, promotes their rights and ends injustice.
