The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) are undertaking a gender mapping of agriculture in Africa in order to better understand how to best target small-scale water management strategies to farmers.  In order to ensure our information is as accurate as possible we are inviting people who are knowledgeable on the gender patterns of farming in specific African countries to provide information via a short online survey.

If you consider yourself knowledgeable about farming system in any country or region in Sub-Saharan Africa we encourage you to fill out the survey and/or to share the survey link with knowledgeable colleagues.  Your participation in the survey is extremely valuable; this gender map will be used to develop recommendations for how to target different agriculture water management technologies to the farm’s main decision-makers.  Responses to the survey need to be in by April 1st.  Results will be sent to respondents and will also be made available on the web.

The survey can be accessed at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/8SDH3HN
