The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

This Act amends the Land Utilization Act in section 2 in the definition of "Minister" and by insderting a definition of "Authority" (i.e. he Land Subdivision and Utilization Authority established under section 9). Section 9 is repealed and replaced. That section provides for membership of the Land Subdivision and Utilization Authority. Section 8, concerning evidence, for purposes of land registration, that a subdivision had been approved by the Minister is also amended.

This Regulation sets the correct manner and necessary conditions (also financial issues, compensation and related fees) aimed at establishing and defining the right (legal and private entities) to build and to use the agricultural land, if owned by the Republic of Croatia (for the purpose of construction of agricultural buildings and establishing the easement of service agricultural on such agricultural land).This text further determines the role and related duties of the Croatian Agency for agricultural land.

These Regulations make provision for the selection, designation, registration and notification of sites to be protected under the Council Directive 92/43/EEC on the conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora. These Regulations also implement aspects of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009. They make provision in respect of European sites for: (a) control of damaging operations caused by human activity; (b) special nature conservation orders and restoration orders; (c) byelaws of the appropriate nature conservation body; and (d) compulsory acquisition.
