En una columna que escribí hace 18 meses, manifestaba la importancia de hacer seguimiento al Acuerdo de Escazú el cual debería ratificar el gobierno colombiano. El proyecto en el congreso terminó hundiéndose lánguidamente y deberá discutirse nuevamente en esta legislatura puesto que el convenio no se sometió a votación porque nunca se incluyó en la agenda.

Los intereses de las empresas mineras e hidroeléctricas, los paramilitares y las guerrillas disidentes, y el monocultivo de la coca son piezas de la violencia estructural que expulsa a las familias campesinas de sus tierras. Sin respuesta del Estado colombiano, la crisis humanitaria que ocurre en el municipio de Ituango, con 4 mil familias desplazadas en el último mes, expone la problemática.

A Colombian Mayor surprises her constituents with land titles and uses live video and social media to spread civic messages about formalizing land tenure

 

Fuentedeoro’s Mayor, Patricia Mancera, took the world on a digital tour of her town. On Monday last week, Mancera’s team went live on Facebook, while walking door-to-door to deliver registered property titles to dozens of neighbors living in Fuentedeoro’s urban center.

Ante los jueces de restitución se presentaron dos demandas para amparar derechos indígenas.

 

La Directora de la Unidad de Restitución de Tierras en Córdoba, Dina Montalvo Puente, informó que  desde la creación de la Ley1448 de 2011 en el departamento  han recibido 4.341 solicitudes de las cuales 3.790 se encuentran habilitadas en (87%).
