andNet is a network of at least 40 Civil Society Organizations that advocate for pro-poor and equitable land and natural resources policies, legislation and decision making processes that enhance livelihoods and sustainable utilization of natural resources.

LandNet started as an unregistered pressure group in 1999 to share concerns on government’s none-inclusive and none-participatory approach to the development and implementation of environment and Natural Resources management policies and legislation and more especially matters relating to land. Since 1999, LandNet operated as the “Civil Society Taskforce on Land and Natural Resources Policy Reform” but got registered under the Trustees Incorporation Act as “LandNet” on 3rd July 2008.

The C2P project aimed to support  the operationalization of private sector commitments to addressing land rights by working closely with  a leading private sector company, Illovo Sugar, to apply VGGT principles to company practice, including  and piloting the application of VGGT-based Analytical Framework for Due Diligence of Agricultural Land-based Investments in sub-Saharan Africa (AFDD) in three countries, Malawi, Mozambique and Tanzania.
