La Coalición Internacional por la Tierra (ILC, por sus siglas en inglés) es una alianza global que trabaja por la gobernanza de la tierra centrada en las personas como elemento fundamental para lograr un mundo justo, equitativo e inclusivo. The paper investigates whether farm dwellers in the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) province of South Africa are subject to a “double exposure”: vulnerable both to the impacts of post-apartheid agrarian dynamics and to the risks of climate change. The evidence is drawn from a 2017 survey that was undertaken by the Association for Rural Advancement (AFRA), which is a land rights Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), of 843 farm dweller households. Data on the current living conditions and livelihoods was collected on 15.3% of the farm dweller population in the area.
El presente trabajo estudia las principales transformaciones introducidas en la economía cubana en el periodo de 1975 a 2013, con un énfasis particular en la Tercera Reforma Agraria puesta en vigor a partir de 1993, la cual significó el tránsito hacia un nuevo modelo agrario cuyo objetivo principal sería resolver el problema de la soberanía alimenticia. Con esta nueva reforma agraria se reconfigura una vez más la forma de tenencia de la tierra en Cuba, estando actual- mente el 54% (de las tierras) en manos del Estado y el 46% restante es propiedad no estatal.

This Act has effectively converted informal rural ownership rights to leasehold. Just days after the report was released, the Ingonyama Trust ramped up its campaign to persuade rural citizens to surrender their informal land rights to the Trust and to accept 40-year leases that could be cancelled for non-payment or other violations of the contract.
