The present Law enforces the Federal Spatial Information Act of 5 October 2007 and the related Ordinances. The purpose of the present Law is to provide authorities both at a national and cantonal level, economy, science and the public with spatial information in a sustainable, up to date, quick and simple way. Furthermore, this data shall be of good quality and at reasonable costs. The text consists of 34 articles divided into 6 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Geo-data and geo-data infrastructure (II); Official survey (III); Other provisions (IV); Financing (V); Penalties and final provisions (VI).
