La demanda por el derecho a la tierra y a la vivienda continúa en Panamá | Land Portal

Días pasados la Coordinadora Victoriano Lorenzo y el Movimiento de campesinos e indígenas de Panamá Este, se apersonaron al Ministerio de vivienda y ordenamiento territorial en la ciudad capital exigiendo respuestas a sus continuas demandas por el derecho a una vivienda digna y a la legalización de tierras. No es la primera vez que estas organizaciones marchan a instituciones estatales como el Ministerio de vivienda y ordenamiento territorial, a la Asamblea Nacional y a la Presidencia de la República buscando respuestas a sus justas y legítimas demandas y que las mismas aún no reciben respuestas positivas. Y pese a estar en períodos de diálogo con el gobierno, las personas que habitan en asentamientos informales son desalojados a la fuerza sin mediar palabra, sin importar edad, condición física y destruyendo todo a su paso con los agentes de control de multitudes y retroexcavadoras.

En las protestas de julio del año pasado este fue tema de discusión, pero a pesar de ello continuaban siendo amenazados con desalojos. Los manifestantes no descartan seguir haciendo movilizaciones, marchas si no obtienen soluciones concretas.
